Some forums allow members to insert a blog feed.

So, if you have a blog, insert the blog feed URL in the box, (usually in `Options` in your CP), and each time you post the link to your latest blog post will appear.

That gives you a link back to your blog, and visitors will hopefully take a look at it. Thus, two potential benefits.

Just be sure to use the correct URL, as some scripts won`t accept, say, Atom, it must be RSS.

In order to monetize your feed from the forum, the Feedburner may a good choice.
