Orissa JEE counselling which was earlier scheduled to start from July 10 will now start from July 14 in the premises of Orissa Agriculture and Technical University (OUAT).

The earlier decided date could not be adhered to, as the rank cards could not be sent to all the students in time. Rank cards will be sent between July 5 and July 12 and the students failing to get their cards can collect duplicate cards on the 14th from the JEE Centre opened at OUAT, said Antaryami Mishra, Chairperson, JEE.

BPUT had proposed before the Government for implementing e-counselling in three centres of the State and the Government approved the move which is going to work from the following year. According to the decision Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Berhampur will be the three centres and on-line counselling will be done in these centres simultaneously.

Due to the lack of adequate arrangements, e-counselling could not be implemented this year, said Mishra. JEE counselling now takes a month to be over whereas after implementation of e-counselling it will be a one week business.
