Call of Duty 3 is a fantastic first person shooter (FPS) game based on World War 2. It is created by TreyArch of Activision and is also marketed by Activision. Call of Duty 3 is the third game in the Call of Duty series of games and the second game of the series not to be developed by Infinity Ward. It was released on 7 November, 2006. Call of duty 3 is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation3 and Nintendo Wii. The game can be played in single player mode or in multiplayer mode on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network etc.

Call of Duty 3 story is based on the Normandy incident that happened during the World War 2 in France. The Allied forces (British, American, Canadian, French and Polish) were pushed back to the Chambios village of France during Normandy breakout. Call of Duty 3 contains 13 playable campaigns. These are solo American, British, Canadian and Polish Campaign and other campaigns for multiplayer version. In Call of Duty 3, player takes the different character in the four campaigns of Allied forces. Up to 24 players can play the game in multiplayer mode.

Call of Duty 3 features wide range of campaigns for multiplayer mode for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2. Only US soldiers are featured in multiplayer Call of Duty 3. Nintendo Wii does not host any multiplayer version of the game because it does not have such facility. Xbox 360 version supports up to 4 players at a time while Call of Duty 3 PlayStation 3 version supports only single player at a time. Unlike other games of the series, Call of Duty 3 offers players the ability to choose classes of soldiers, weaponry and abilities that they will hold. The game also includes six game modes.

Call of Duty 3 is released for all the seventh generation consoles viz. Xbox, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii but its PC version isn't released. It is the first major game of the Call of Duty series not to be released for PC. Call of Duty 3 is a console exclusive game. There is no Call of Duty 3 free download.
